MICHIGAN BACKPACK COVID HOME TEST PROGRAM

MDHHS has provided a way for our staff and families of Buckley Schools to COVID test at home through a new program. Please see the link on our website to see how you can take part in this program if you would like to when it becomes available.

PTO NEWS

Santa Secret Shop is back and will be open Monday, December 6th through Wednesday, December 8th.  All items will cost $2.00 each and will include personalized wrapping. Please fill out a checklist and send in the correct amount of money with each student.   Checks can be made payable to Buckley PTO.  

Please mark your calendars!  Popcorn Friday and Bear Pride day will be moved to next Friday,  December 10th, 2021. Make sure your child wears their bear pride shirt.  

Attention all first grade parents.  It is that time of year again for our school to choose a prince and princess for the National Cherry Festival.  Information has been sent home with each first grade student today.  If you are interested in your child being in the drawing for the prince or princess please fill out the form and send it back to the school no later than Monday, December 6th.  

OPERATION BEARY MERRY CHRISTMAS

2021 Operation Beary Merry Christmas is in full swing!

If you are looking for a way to GIVE during this Holiday season please consider donating to Operation Beary Merry Christmas.

Our school staff have worked together to identify the needs in our community.

100% of every donation goes towards meeting those needs and making sure the kids have the BEST Christmas ever!

Looking for work or just want to help out for pay from time to time?

Buckley Schools is working hard to remain face to face for learning this year – and we could use your help! SPORTS FROM HOME IF NEEDED

Just a reminder that all indoor Buckley sports, MS / JV / VAR, are available to watch virtually online at NFHSnetwork.com.  Subscriptions can be purchased monthly or annually. This is a nice option for out of town family and friends to get to see our Bears in action!For the email blast with steps to register:

  1. Select a plan; Annual $69.99, monthly $10.99
  2. Complete the payment fields (must have an email address and debit/credit card)
  3. Create a password and log into your account
  4. Use the search bar at the top and type “Buckley High School”
  5. Select the FOLLOW button and all Buckley events will show up every time you login

LUNCHES

Once again we are able to offer FREE lunches! However, if you have not filled out your free and reduced lunch forms yet, please do so ASAP! This really helps the school out. You can just go to the NEW website www.familyportal.cloud. Breakfast is still offered for free daily. If any student gets an extra entree, they will be charged $1.25 on their account.

PUBLIC EVENTS

**FCA: Starting Friday October 1 at 7:20AM will be the weekly huddle for FCA in the Den at the school with breakfast food provided.

**FOUNDRY: 7-12th graders meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm at 215 Wexford Ave, (T1).

*Public library hours are Monday – Thursday 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

HOUSEKEEPING

*Please take note that you may not drop your child off before 7:55 a.m.

*Please do NOT park in the roundabout where other cars are trying to drop off!!!

*Parents are no longer allowed to walk your child down the hallway. Please say your goodbyes at the doors.
