Email Notifications

bcsemail

Over the past month or so, Buckley Community Schools has been trying out a new program to keep the community informed through phone notifications called Alert Solutions. This program has been very successful in sending out phone messages accurately and quickly, but that is not all it can do. It can also send out email messages to parents and community members. Over the next month, Buckley will be piloting email notifications through Alert Solutions. Some of you may be part of our Bus Notes email group. That group will no longer be contacted as we begin to send messages via email through Alert Solutions.

A demonstration message was sent out on May 20, 2014. If you did not receive this message, that means that we do not have an email for you in our PowerSchool system. If you would like to receive email messages from the School for announcements, sporting information, and other communication needs, please call the school and let us know the best email address to send messages to. You can also send an email to cnuckels@buckleyschools.com or crath@buckleyschools.com with the email you would like to receive message with and we will make sure PowerSchool gets updated.

We hope that this new form of communication is beneficial to you and we look forward to serving your communication needs better.

PowerScheduler Information

Buckley High School

Buckley Community Schools is excited to give you the opportunity to allow you to enroll in classes online through PowerSchool. You or your student need to have your PowerSchool information. If you do not have remember what it is, or have never used, please contact the school for assistance. All report cards this quarter had the PowerSchool login information as well.

Once logged in, you will see a new option on the left hand side of the screen titled “Class Registration.” Clicking on this link will take you to the class registration screen. You will not always see this option as it is disabled most of the year. It will be enabled when students are allowed to sign up for classes. Depending on your grade level, the class selections will differ. For instance, a 7th and 8th grader will have limited options, while a 12th grader will have more. The process is the same no matter how many choices you have.

  1. Each section must be filled out. When a section is complete, there will be a green checkmark next to it. Please read the description for each section to understand what it is about.
  2. Click on the pencil icon next to each section. This will bring up a list of choices for that section. Some may require you to select multiple classes, while other will only require one choice.
  3. Once you put a check next to all classes you are going to take, click on the okay button. This will confirm your choices for that section.
  4. Once all sections are complete, with a green check mark next to each, please click on the submit button at the bottom.

If you have questions about the scheduling process, don’t hesitate to ask. You can call the school or talk with your mentor teacher. Mr. Kulawiak is a good resource for class requirement questions and Mr. Nuckels can help with any technical problems you may have.

Thank you for your time and we hope this process will simplify the scheduling process.
